Are you a disabled US Veteran with a medical rating? We’d love to have you as a part of OUR team!
Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment of camaraderie and rehabilitation through the game of ice hockey for disabled servicemen and servicewomen. New Jersey Warriors Hockey is a Tournament team that practices and plays at the New Jersey Devils practice facility at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and travels for various regional and national matchups. New Jersey Warriors is a 501c3 non-profit organization operate in partnership with
USA Hockey and the New Jersey Devils.
Basic Player Requirements:
– All U.S. Military Veterans are welcome to play with the New Jersey Warriors
– Players need to have a minimum 10% VA-rated disability to particpate in official USA Hockey Warrior-sanctioned tournaments
– Regardless of VA rating, players must be registered with USA Hockey for insurance purposes
– For safety reasons, all players must have basic Adult League equivalent hockey skills and skating ability (assessed by NJ Warriors coaching staff)
Other ways to get involved?
Our goal is to accommodate and integrate all disabled Veterans wishing to be part of our growing program. If you’re not a Veteran, or if you’re a Veteran who feels that their current hockey abilities do not yet meet these basic requirements, you can still be a part of our team in a support capacity.
